Overcoming Unforgiveness

Unforgiveness. Nothing has ended more friendships, more marriages, resulted in deteriorating mental health, physical health, church splits, started more wars... there's no cause greater than an unforgiving heart. If you live in a fallen world, you can’t avoid getting mistreated, abused, injured, and hurt. Thus, you’ve got to learn how to overcome an unforgiving heart. It’s as dreadful and deadly as being diagnosed with high blood pressure or heart disease or cancer. But too many Christians in the church don’t deal with it with the level of seriousness it deserves. Today we’ll be looking at how to overcome an unforgiving heart: how forgiveness is essential, how it is simple, how it is complex, and where we get the power to forgive.
